Joanna Brownstein is the Director of Clinical Research Informatics for Harvard Catalyst’s Biomedical Informatics Program. Joanna oversees software development and implementation for the Harvard Catalyst Clinical Research Program and platform development for the NFLPA Players Research Study. She was also the Associate Director for the eagle-i program during its initial development and launch, and managed the initial launch of the Shrine network at Harvard Medical School. In addition to her work at Harvard, Joanna has worked in big pharma and for healthcare related start-ups and is Chair of the Board of Directors for Addgene, a non-profit focused on the collection, storage, and distribution of plasmids.
Joanna holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an MSW from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
