About Daniela

Daniela Bourges-Waldegg is the Director of Informatics Technology and Architecture for Harvard Catalyst’s Informatics Program. She is also the chief architect of eagle-i. Prior to joining Harvard, Daniela was a senior researcher at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory, where she worked on a variety of Web-related topics such as mobile applications, security and trust, social and semantic web. Daniela holds a masters degree and a doctorate in Computer Science from the Université de Rennes, France, and an electrical engineering degree from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City.

Daniela’s current technical focus is on knowledge representation, processing and retrieval, and in particular semantic web, ontologies and Linked Open Data.
